Arcam Radia Amplifier Range

The Radia series is Arcam’s reinvention: dark, minimal casework with a signature yellow accent, built for systems that sit in the open rather than hidden in a rack. The range now spans stereo, streaming and cd, so a complete system can be built entirely within it.

Arcam AV Components

The Radia AVA amplifiers bring Arcam’s home cinema line into the Radia era, replacing a generation that dates back to 2020. All products run amplification with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and carry Dirac Live room correction, bass control and Active Room Treatment — a level of system-wide optimisation rarely found at this level. They’re aimed at listeners building genuinely immersive rooms rather than buying a receiver off the shelf.

Things people ask
us about Arcam.

Can't find your question?

A few things we get asked most often. If your question isn't here, our team is happy to talk it through.

Arcam is a British audio company founded in Cambridge in 1976. The brand originally began as A&R Cambridge and has since become known for combining traditional British hi-fi engineering with modern digital, streaming and home cinema technology. Today, Arcam is part of the Harman group.

Class G is an amplification topology used in Arcam’s higher-performance amplifiers. Instead of operating from a single fixed power supply rail, it can bring additional voltage into play when the music demands more power. Arcam uses the design to combine low distortion and refinement at normal listening levels with greater current delivery and control during demanding musical peaks.

Arcam’s Radia integrated amplifiers, including the A5+, A15+ and A25+, are traditional stereo amplifiers designed to work with separate music sources. The SA35 and SA45 go further by adding built-in high-resolution network streaming, large colour displays, Dirac Live room correction and more advanced system integration. The SA models are therefore better suited to listeners looking for a more complete all-in-one system.

Yes. Selected Arcam products use Dirac Live to measure how the loudspeakers interact with the listening room and apply digital correction to improve the overall response. It is included on streaming amplifiers such as the SA35 and SA45 and also features across Arcam’s higher-performance home cinema electronics. Traditional Radia integrated amplifiers do not require or include Dirac Live.

Yes. Many current Arcam integrated amplifiers include a dedicated phono input, so a turntable with a compatible cartridge can be connected without a separate phono preamplifier. The Radia A5+, A15+ and A25+ include moving-magnet phono stages, while models such as the SA35 also accommodate both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges.

Selected Arcam amplifiers include HDMI eARC, allowing compatible televisions to send audio directly to the hi-fi system while retaining convenient TV-based volume control. Models including the A15+, A25+, SA35 and SA45 can therefore form the centre of a system used for both music and television sound without requiring a separate AV receiver.

Yes. Home cinema has been an important part of Arcam’s range for many years. Alongside its stereo amplifiers and streamers, Arcam produces multi-channel AV receivers and processors designed for immersive systems using formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Current models also combine modern HDMI connectivity with technologies such as Dirac Live room correction.

Premium Sound carries a broad selection of Arcam stereo and home cinema products at its Kensington store in London. Demonstration availability varies by model, so if there is a particular Arcam amplifier, streamer or AV product you would like to hear, contact the team before visiting to arrange an audition.
