Solidsteel

Solidsteel manufactures and designs exquisite furniture and equipment for audio and video components. Moreno Conti founded this small Italian company in 1990 after his prototypes were tested in 1988 and 1989. These were shown to trusted friends and acquaintances and local audiophiles, and with encouraging feedback, Solidsteel was born.

The first models were painstakingly welded by hand so that there were no welds in view and they included top-notch wooden shelves, clean paints and turned spikes to help with the controlling of vibrations.

Conti and his wife Dora were then in contact with the Audiogamma company, one of the leading Italian distributors in the field of audio, and this critical partnership allowed Solidsteel to become a well-known brand in Italy. The company is now present in almost all the continents and like the music lovers they design equipment for, they are passionate about their brand and design.

Today, their products are split into two categories. The S Series is the legacy of founder Moreno Conti who unexpectedly passed away in 2013. After his death, the family discovered work he had developed in secret during the last two years of his life. They pushed his innovative project forward, enabling them to abandon the welding processes of metal parts and make room for new, more efficient operations.
