The new CD BOX S3

The CD Box S3 is our first product of the new S3 line. In contrast to DVD or Blu-ray Disc players, a pure CD player is frequently better in playback of stereo CDs. The drive in the CD Box S3 enables 1:1 bit-accurate CD playback. The new DAC chip provides the best digital analog conversion with a bit depth & sampling rate up to 32bit/384kHz. The slot in mechanism smoothly draws in the CD and after a few seconds it is ready to play.

This way, you can let your favourite high-end DAC convert the accurately transferred bit stream from the CD.

The CD Box is the perfect addition to any HiFi system.

I’m very happy with this when matched with a Mission 778x and a pair of Dali Oberon 5 speakers. I love the form factor and the simplicity of it. The box feels solid and well-made. The buttons on the front need a defined push but I’m okay with that. On recommendation, I pre-bought a Pro-Ject Control It remote as the supplied credit-card-sized one feels flimsy.
I’ve listened to a variety of music types so far but the piece that really shows the quality of this is Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. I can hear the nuances of every instrument and the phrasing comes through beautifully. It’s like I am at a recital. I never thought it would make such a difference.
