Description

High-Power Compact Amplification

The Onkyo Muse Y-50 Integrated Amplifier combines substantial output capability with a compact, modern chassis. Its advanced Axign Class-D amplifier with MOSFET output stage delivers up to 125W per channel into 8Ω (20Hz–20kHz) and up to 250W per channel into 4Ω.

With a frequency response extending from 20Hz to 30kHz, the Y-50 reproduces music with clarity, dynamic authority, and low distortion, confidently driving both compact bookshelf speakers and demanding floor-standing models.

Audiophile Engineering and Build Quality

The amplifier features a rigid construction with a solid aluminium front panel, enhancing structural stability while minimizing unwanted vibration. Premium speaker terminals ensure secure, high-quality connections.

A distinctive San Kuzushi patterned ventilation top plate improves heat dissipation while adding a subtle design element inspired by Japanese aesthetics, supporting stable long-term performance even under demanding listening conditions.

Intelligent Display and Control Interface

Despite its high output power, the Y-50 maintains a compact footprint suitable for modern living spaces. A 5.46-inch color LCD provides playback information and features an analogue-style VU meter for a classic hi-fi presentation.

The intuitive interface simplifies system configuration, while compatibility with the Onkyo Controller app allows remote control of playback and settings via smartphone or tablet.

Comprehensive Analogue and Digital Connectivity

Designed as a central system hub, the Y-50 offers three pairs of RCA analogue inputs plus a dedicated MM/MC phono stage for direct turntable connection. Digital connectivity includes HDMI input supporting 4K/120p and 8K/60p video formats, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, along with an HDMI output for seamless integration into home entertainment systems.

Additional connections include a subwoofer output, pre-out for system expansion, and a 6.3mm headphone jack for private listening.

Streaming, Network Integration and Room Calibration

Ethernet connectivity enables integration into home networks for streaming access. Built-in support includes Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, and Google Cast. Bluetooth with SBC and AAC codecs provides convenient wireless playback from portable devices.

Onkyo’s proprietary Room EQ calibration system analyzes room acoustics and applies automatic corrections for improved balance and imaging. Adjustable bass and treble controls and compatibility with 4–16Ω speakers further enhance system flexibility.
