Short summary

The Naim FlatCap XS is a dual-rail power supply that, whether alone or in pairs, delivers the most operative resources to excerpt the decisive act from an XS classification.

Description

Single or Dual

A single FlatCap XS can augment the functioning of a CD5 XS and a NAT05 XS, while a secondary unit could be installed to boost the presentation of the NAC 152 XS preamplifier. The vigorous part played by the current source in any hi-fi system is a longstanding Naim belief and it is never better demonstrated than with the amplified melodic eloquence that the FlatCap XS conveys in a system.

Power Source

FlatCap XS is an exterior power source that substitutes the FlatCap2x. The advances to sound class are understated but noteworthy: undercurrents are more level across the frequency range, bass positions are more effortlessly distinguished and the noise floor is lowered.

Simultaneous Use

The routine enhancements are even more noticeable when driving a preamplifier and CD player simultaneously. When paired with the NAC 282 and 202 preamplifiers, and Naim’s SNAXO mechanical crossovers, it can deliver an actual, low-cost entry into active syste. It is also capable of powering all Naim phono stages, active crossovers and preamplifiers (with the exception of the NAC 552 and NAC 252).

Excellent Low Noise

The FlatCap XS offers excellent low noise, twin power supplies for two isolated Series 5 units; a NAC 152 XS and a CD5 XS, or NAC 152 XS and StageLine, for example. The FlatCap XS transformer has dual isolated additional windings to separate the two supplies from each other. It comprises quad Naim-tested and chosen low-noise regulators to attain its brilliant performance.
