The SR 1 Super sounds uncompressed and lively. The reason for this is that we have been fighting low efficiency for many years. Ole Klifoth has been known to claim that every new model will increase 1 dB in efficiency! Although it would be great, this is not possible without compromising sound quality, which, of course, will never be the case.
THE NEVER ENDING STRUGGLE
The struggle against low efficiency is very important, because the worst enemy of both real life dynamics and the ability to play softly yet open and detailed is – yes – low efficiency.
TITANIUM TECHNOLOGY
The bass driver of the SR 1 Super uses a titanium voice coil former. It is stronger than other materials, has lower distortion and faster reaction time. More expensive, yes, but worth every extra Euro.
