The MRx is the Ruark Audio’s new Connected Wireless Speaker that boasts a plethora of new and impressive abilities, making it the perfect system for your home. Streaming Capabilities

The Ruark Audio MRx – the latest in their line of wireless speakers – has been specifically built with streaming in mind. This means that this intuitive speaker can offer you an outstanding array of options, including Bluetooth for direct streaming from enabled devices. The MRx’s Bluetooth audio receiver comes with aptX, a technology which will ensure all of your music is reproduced in CD quality sound. Broadband internet connection allows this speaker to access Internet Radio, where you can find hundreds of radio stations. Broadband internet will also make available a wide array of online music streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer and Tidal (Amazon Music will soon be making an appearance, too). To top it all off, you can even stream all of your music from any networked computers and mobile phones.

Performance

When designing the Ruark MRx Speaker, the team at Ruark developed new speaker units that have been based on the driver technology one can find within the Ruark MR1 Mk2. A new cone and coil assembly can also be found within the speaker, coupled with a powerful neodymium magnet system that works to provide a full-range driver with a performance that is unparalleled. The drivers inside the MRx are mounted into tuned bass reflex enclosures as a stereo pair, and are powered by a high-fidelity two-channel class A-B amplifier. The team at Ruark then used the latest sound processing technology to finely tune the sound that these speakers will produce, creating a deceptive stereo soundstage for a wireless sound system of this size.

Design and Control

The Ruark MRx speaker’s unique design will ensure it becomes the focal point of any room, regardless of different decors. The unit can be used in both landscape and portrait orientation. Threaded inserts are located on the back of the speaker, allowing the MRx to be wall mounted if required/desired. The rear panel also features a four-way selector switch that allows you to set the MRx up as a stereo or mono unit.

The Ruark MRx speaker features a stylish new controller dial located on the speaker grille. This control dial will allow you to alter the volume and the switch between sources with ease. And in order to make things even more convenient for you, Ruark have even introduced their intuitive new remote control app, named Ruark LINK.

Ruark LINK is a free-to-install remote app available for iOS and Android devices via their respective app stores. This app gives the user complete control over the MRx speakers, displays information about what is currently playing and over which source, and even allows you to create and manage groups when two or more speakers are playing at the same time as part of a multi-room system. The Ruark LINK app is compatible with the R2 Mk3 and the R7 Mk3, adding an the extra convenience of controlling all of your speakers from one single app.
