An Object to Desire

Like the iconic radiograms of yesteryear, R810 is a product that has been designed to be seen. Enhancing R810’s aesthetics is the special material we’ve selected for the handcrafted grille and veneered cabinets. Made from sustainable woods that are spliced and reconstituted, the resulting grain patterns closely resemble slow-growing hardwoods but without the ecological impact. Combined with the precision formed trims and polished chrome stand, R810 radiates sophistication and like the finest furniture, it is an object that you will cherish and be proud to have on display in your home.

R810: A design icon reimagined

R810 is a statement piece that you will want to design your room around and with the spirit of a classic radiogram as its core, it’s a music system that will reignite peoples passion for sound.

A statement product designed to form the focal point of any room, Ruark’s new flagship model is a radical reimagining of a design icon.

With stunning sound, seamless connectivity, and expert craftsmanship, R810’s clean, precise lines and polished chrome stand echo the cutting-edge technology that lies beneath its elegant construction.

As much a piece of sculptural furniture as it is an entertainment system, the Ruark R810 strengthens the emotional connection between you and the music you love most with every play.

A Beautiful Display

Many systems today rely totally on smartphones and suchlike to provide information on settings and source, but with R810 the hi-resolution display provides all the information you need right in front of you and brings the look of R810 to life. With its portrait orientation the display intentionally emulates the way we view music applications on our phones and in conjunction with our new RotoDial controller makes R810 second nature to use. The intensity of the display in standby and active mode is also fully adjustable to suit your needs.

Style on display

A revival of the renowned radiograms of the past and an evolution of the brand’s classic R7 design, R810 is conceived from the ground up to deliver timeless luxury and form the entertainment heart of the home.

With precision formed trims and a polished chrome stand, R810 radiates sophisticated style. Effortlessly versatile, R810’s veneered cabinet makes it a truly refined piece of home décor.

Enhancing its distinctive aesthetic is the special wood selected for the handcrafted grille and veneered cabinets, available in soft grey or walnut. Made from fast-growing sustainable woods that are spliced and reconstituted, the resulting grain patterns closely resemble slow-growing hardwoods without the ecological impact.

Completing the thoroughly modern take on an enduring design, R810’s display provides the setting and source information you need, as well as faithfully recreating album artwork in stunning definition. Meanwhile, its portrait orientation emulates the way we view applications on our smartphones, making R810 second nature to use.

A closer connection

R810 is optimised for streaming fans and vinyl aficionados alike. Able to decode the best quality audio streams, R810 opens up a world of music discovery with support for Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect. Meanwhile, Apple AirPlay and Chromecast built-in allows for simple direct streaming from the likes of BBC Sounds, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, and more, as well as the ability to build a flexible multiroom system.

Music playback is refined with the new and improved RotoDial control system, making every command a tactile pleasure. Also included with R810 is a matching rechargeable Bluetooth remote that feels good to hold and looks beautiful left on display.

For those that still love vinyl records and CDs, these mediums can also be enjoyed by connecting a turntable to the dedicated phono inputs or a CD ROM to the USB-C socket.

Additionally, with its HDMI ARC/eARC connectivity, connecting R810 to your TV is easy, taking the enjoyment of watching films and television to cinematic heights with its immersive audio performance. What’s more, it’s slick stand means R810 cuts a striking figure when placed beneath a wall-mounted screen.

And, in true Ruark style, comprehensive support for DAB/DAB+, FM, and Internet radio forms a complete entertainment system that takes you from your morning coffee to movie nights, party soundtracks, and beyond.

Connection Bliss

R810 is a fully integrated entertainment system and provides all the connectivity you are ever likely to need. Streaming is its forte, but if you want to play records and CDs, these mediums can also be enjoyed by connecting a turntable to the phono inputs or a CD-ROM drive to the USB-C socket. Additionally with its HDMI ARC/eARC input, you can connect R810 to most modern TVs, taking the enjoyment of watching films to another level with its dynamic, spacious sound.

With its ability to play the highest quality audio streams, R810 opens a whole world of music and entertainment. Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect are built-in and with the addition of Apple AirPlay and Chromecast built-in, you can stream and control directly from apps such as Apple Music, BBC Sounds, Amazon Music, Qobuz and many more. In addition you can also build a flexible multi-room system, linking R810 with other AirPlay and Chromecast compatible devices, including their own R410.

What lies beneath

Ruark are passionate about aesthetic design, but we know that it’s what lies beneath that is fundamental in creating great sound. An example of this is R810’s enclosure where inside it has been carefully divided into compartments, each which have been optimised for their intended task. Twin bass reflex compartments house our NS+ bass-midrange units and silk dome tweeters and the long throw subwoofer is housed beneath, in an infinite baffle enclosure for superbly controlled and extended bass.

Driving the system is a powerful five channel Class A-B discrete component amplifier. Five separate channels means that we can precisely control the response of each drive unit and with the latest sound processing technologies, music is produced with effortless ease with a stunning soundstage that will immerse you and fill your home with exquisite sound.

Tactile Controls

With touch-screens seemingly controlling everything these days, in our opinion you still can’t beat the positive click of a button or satisfying turn of a dial, particularly when it comes packaged as something unique and beautiful like our RotoDial control system, which for 100 Series has been improved and enhanced. Included with R810 is a matching rechargeable remote. Bluetooth connectivity means that aiming is not required during operation and looking so good, it’s an item that you will want to leave out on display for everyone to touch and see.
