High-End Turntable with 9“ Evo Tonearm – True-Balanced

The Pro-Ject 6 PerspeX Balanced Superpack Turntable is a high-end turntable with many advanced features. The Superpack version includes extra enhancements. This Ready-to-play unit has a fitted cartridge that is fully balanced. Moreover, the chassis sits on a magnetic field to prevent any parasitic noise.

The carbon tonearm has a massive bearing and a low mass for superb tracking. There is also an adaptive anti-skate and a fully adjustable arm mount. Lastly, for even better noise performance a PSU upgrade is available.

Crystal Clear Sound & Look

The transparent acrylic plinth stands on three individually height-adjustable TPE-damped aluminium cones and carries the motor and the sub-chassis. The sub-chassis, made of Corian, rests on three magnetic fields. A magnetic sub-chassis suspension system avoids parasitic noise normally caused by conventional spring mechanism. A quiet running AC motor unit drives the platter’s outside edge via a belt. It does incorporate an advanced DC-driven motor control, that ensures perfect speed stability and electronic speed change.

9 CC EVO Tonearm

The 6PerspeX Balanced turntable features our high end 9“ CC carbon tonearm with a massive bearing construction. It uses an inverted cardanic ABEC 7 quality bearing with 4 stainless steel tips. This bearing type is very stable and low friction, which guarantees a clear tracking. The full aluminium tonearm base offer you real audiophile features. It allows you to adjust both the azimuth and the vertical tracking angle (VTA). Setting and experimenting with the VTA & Azimuth is crucial in extracting every last bit of performance out of your cartridge.

Corrective Anti-Skating System

The antis-skating system fitted to most turntables offers a fixed force. This counters the tendency of the tonearm to pull towards the centre of the record. Without anti-skate one side of the groove would wear more than the other. Moreover, the channel balance would be incorrect.

However, the Pro-Ject 6 PerspeX Balanced Superpack Turntable has a more advanced adaptive system that changes the force depending on the position of the tonearm on the record. This improves the tracking at either extreme.

High-quality Phono Cable

A high-quality phono cable is supplied with the Pro-Ject 6 PerspeX Balanced Superpack Turntable for standard phono preamps. This requires earthing leads with spade terminals. The grounding arrangement with turntables can vary but most high-end units have separate signal and chassis grounds.

To prevent hum loops Some phono cables only have the shield connected at one end. The shielded end should go to the amplifier and it is usually marked on the cable.

True Balanced

The included Pro-Ject MC3 cartridge allows you a „True Balanced“ signal transmission. The Pick it MC3 is an all-purpose cartridge which delivers powerful and dynamic sound optimised for pop and rock, but also for big orchestral classic. The big advantage of a balanced connection is its ability to remove picked up noise and interferences. Our „True Balanced“ cable range offers you the perfect cable to connect your turntable to the Phono Box S3 B, Phono Box DS3 B or Tube Box DS3 B.

Advanced PSU And an Upgrade

The Pro-Ject 6 PerspeX Balanced Superpack Turntable is fitted with a Sophisticated DC/AC power generator. A switch mode supply is used as this is more efficient and generates less heat. Moreover, the PSU is used to create a new AC signal to drive the motor. As a result, a very accurate and clean sine wave is generated for improved speed stability.

However, a PSU upgrade is also available. The Power Box S3 Phono can be connected via a high-grade cable and has sophisticated DC filtration for even better noise performance.
