The new Project Essential III Phono Turntable takes all of the design and technological characteristics from the original Essential III, adding an integrated phono stage in order to offer precise RIAA equalisation and optimal signal gain. This will allow the turntable to deliver crystal clear playback throughout all of your speakers. The line level in put included will enable you to connect the Essential III Phono to any LINE or AUX input on your amplifier; the switch on the side of the output terminal will also allow you to turn the phono stage off. This turntable allows you to improve upon your system and enjoy a superior phono stage without the need to upgrade the entire turntable. A junction box output located on the turntable will also make it possible to upgrade your cable easily.

The Project Essential III Phono turntable features a gloss-finish platter constructed out of MDF, rather than the original acrylic platter used in previous models. The decision to use high-quality MDF in the Essential III Phono’s construction was to take advantage of its acoustically neutral character. The plinth has been mounted on three anti-vibration feet, allowing for effective decoupling from the surface on which you have placed your turntable.

The Project Essential III Phono Turntable use a 9V motor and the new integrated grounding link that helps to vastly reduce any electrical interference to staggeringly low levels. The motor’s premium, synchronous AC design is driven by a built-in signal generator that ensures optimal speed stability and keeps resonances to an absolute minimum. Performance and style is further improved by the new aluminium pulley.

The Project Essential III Phono Turntable comes pre-fitted with an 8.6″ aluminium tonearm for its rigidity and lightweight characteristics. Its gimbal bearing assembly allows for smooth tracking across a record thanks to the sapphire bearings that have been used in its construction. The counterweight that is supplied with the Essential III allows for a wide range of premium pick-up cartridges to be installed. Supplied with an Ortofon OM 10 cartridge already installed, the OM 10 is superior to the Essential II’s OM 5E, using an elliptical profile and precision micro-mechanics to deliver a pristine, full soundstage with an impressive impact.
