Questions, answered.
We consider a wide range of equipment and are always happy to review what you have. This typically includes hi-fi and high-end audio equipment, including many types of vintage hi-fi. That said, we do reserve the right to refuse a trade-in quote at our discretion.
We can still provide a trade-in quote; however, we will take any damage or cosmetic imperfections into account. We grade items honestly, so the price will reflect the condition and how well the item has been maintained.
Having the original packaging is ideal, but it’s not essential. We do prefer to receive items with their original boxes, though we understand that you may not always have the space to keep them. If the original packaging is missing, we’ll take this into account when providing your trade-in quote.
You can still trade in your item without the original packaging, but please ensure it is securely packed to prevent any damage during transit. If the item is not adequately protected and is damaged due to movement inside the box, we cannot accept liability, and this may affect the final valuation.
Collections are normally arranged using either DPD or DHL courier services. These services are fully insured, however we ask that all items are securely packaged inside the box. If damage occurs due to insufficient internal packaging, we cannot accept liability. In some cases, the outer carton may appear undamaged, while the contents inside may still be affected during transit.
For larger items, such as floorstanding speakers, we may arrange collection using our own van if you are located nearby. For bulky items located further away, we may be unable to accept the trade-in. However, please contact us and we will see if we can assist through one of our industry partners.
Credit is applied on the same day we complete the inspection of your item. If you would like your new item dispatched before we have inspected your trade-in, you will need to pay the full price upfront. Once your item has been received and passes inspection, we will refund the agreed credit amount.
In most cases, we do not accept lower-grade consumer or mid-fi products. We also do not normally accept trade-ins such as entry-level all-in-one turntables (for example, Crosley models) or video equipment, including DVD players, TVs, and VCRs.
