Studio headphones are mainly used by professionals who want reference quality audio output, so, similar to the original composition of the music. A regular pair of headphones does not always have the capabilities of studio headphones, but some do come close. Studio headphones have excellent passive sound isolation. Studios are noisy places, and you can’t effectively monitor a recording with headphones that do not provide adequate isolation, so this is an essential feature.
